was born in Queens, N.Y.
At the age of 18 he had moved to Philadelphia where he then came across community events which showcased traditional Bomba music & dance from Puerto Rico.
Presented by Familia Rojas, Maribel Lozada and a few others.
His love for the music grew and he decided to educate himself through many workshops from local and out of state Bomba & Plena Practitioners as well as many visits to the homeland.
As of today Anthony is the owner and director of
Los Bomberos De La Calle and with the help of the other members they create memorable experiences for the community which has been taking place since 2012.
You can see Tony and the rest of Los Bomberos De La Calle at several Performances and jam sessions including Parrandas during the holidays, Private events and much more bringing good vibes and heavy soulful sounds of Bomba & Plena music from Puerto Rico.

We have began a Project to raise money for our community performances as well as percussion and dance classes that will be open to the public.
